The in-class component of the course will be located at the Harcourts Victoria Corporate Office - Level 3 / 95 Coventry Street, Southbank. Prior to attending the in-class component, you will be required to complete the online learning component of the course. It is in your best interest to enrol in the course as soon as possible. This will provide you with more time to complete the online component.
Completion of the course for Agent’s Representatives fulfils the educational requirements to act as Agent’s Representative in Victoria. In addition to meeting the educational requirements, prospective Agent’s Representatives must meet other eligibility criteria including; not having a disqualifying criminal record. Further information about the eligibility to act as an Agent’s Representative can be found on the Consumer Affairs Victoria Website.
Agent’s Representatives can act on behalf of an Estate Agent and may perform the following tasks; property sales, property management, auctioneering and business broking.
Whilst we are unable to guarantee employment in the Harcourts network of Estate Agents, we can circulate your resume amongst business owners within our network. If you choose to participate, we will collect your resume during the in-class component of the course.
This course will provide you with the entry-level units required by the Victorian Business Licence Authority to work in Real Estate. The course consists of three units of competency from the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).
Unit 1: Work in the Real Estate Industry (CPPDSM4080A)
Unit 2: Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Management to complete agency work (CPPDSM4007A)
Unit 3: Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Real Estate Sales to complete agency work (CPPDSM4008A)
Your completion of the units of competency within the course will be assessed through the completion of online tasks and in-class assessment.
You will be provided with access to our online learning resources. You will receive comprehensive printed learner guides and legislation extracts. Our trainers have extensive industry experience.
Through the enrolment form you will provide credit card details to facilitate the payment for the course. The total cost including; online learning, in-class learning, and learner resources is $700.

How do I start a career in Real Estate?
Most entry level roles in real estate will require you to become an agent's representative. You will need to be an agents representative to perform tasks including negotiating (for either property sales or leasing) and receiving trust money on behalf of clients. Entry level roles in our industry include administration, property sales and property management. The industry is an exciting workplace with the opportunity to meet many people and help them achieve significant milestones in their lives.
Can I become an agent's representative after completing your course?
Harcourts provides training as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 31139). The course for agent's representatives provides the educational qualifications required to become an agent's representative in Victoria.
Do I have to work for Harcourts if I enter the real estate industy?
No. Whilst we are always looking for good people and hope that you will aspire to a career with Harcourts, the qualification will provide you with the educational requirements to become an agents representative with any Victorian estate agent.
Where is the training held?
The training is held at the Victorian corporate office in Southbank. Our modern training room provides a comfortable environment for up to 30 students. During lunch breaks, you will find many cafes located within the office complex and close surrounds.
How long is the training?
Training is delivered over three days commencing at 9am on each day. Each day will conclude by 5pm. Your attendance for the three days is part of the requirement of completion of the course.
How much online work will I have to complete?
We recomend that you enrol in the course as soon as possible. This will give you more time to complete the online tasks of the course. You are required to complete the online tasks prior to attending the class delivery of the course.
