From Monday 1 October 2018, the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority (RTBA) no longer provides pre-printed paper forms for bond transactions, including lodgements, repayments and transfers, to estate agents or property managers.
Instead, all forms are available for generation, completion and submission by logging in to RTBA Online.
These online transactions provide a faster and more convenient way of doing business for landlords and estate agents and will reduce postage and administrative costs.
Other changes from 1 October are the RTBA no longer issues repayment cheques for bond claims, instead repayment are made by electronic transfer. Funds are directly credited into the nominated accounts; and bond receipts sent by email, unless you choose not to receive them at all.
